Quantitative Developer Intern
WorldQuant develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across a variety of asset classes and global markets. The Role: WorldQuant is seeking Quantitative Developer Interns to:
•Assist in building software systems that manage vast quantities of data efficiently and can facilitate effective quantitative analysis and research
•Develop utility tools that can further automate the software development, testing and deployment workflow under the guidance of senior quantitative researchers
•Pre-process and analyze unstructured financial market data, such as news articles, analyst commentary, or social sentiment data, etc.
•Other tasks assigned by senior managers
What You’ll Bring:
•Pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree from a leading university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Financial Engineering, or related areas. Ability to work at least 3 days per week, for a minimum of 6 months
•Proficient in Python; Familiar with Linux/Unix
•Experience with multithreading and network programming is a plus
•Open to new knowledge and ability to pick up new concepts quickly
•Dedicated and self-disciplined with a strong work ethic and willingness to help others
Position based in Shanghai, China.
